FTC Ruling on Noncompete Clauses
April 26, 2024
On April 23, 2024, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a final rule banning noncompete clauses in certain employment contracts as an unfair method of competition. This rule is limited to postemployment restraints (i.e. restrictions on what the worker may do after the conclusion of the worker’s employment) and does not apply to in-term restraints (i.e. restrictions on what the worker may do during the worker’s employment). NYS Property Condition Disclosure as of March 20 2024 – PCDA New York
