Find Out Who

Firm History

Fifty years ago, Bob Feder and Bill Cuddy founded Cuddy & Feder with a simple handshake and set up shop in a three-story colonial house on Maple Avenue in White Plains, New York. Over the years, our firm increased in size and like any family, outgrew the house it had originally started in. But despite our size, downtown address and expansion in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut, the warm, welcoming feel of our firm remains the same.

Our Strength

Cuddy & Feder was originally founded on the strengths of our real estate development practice. From housing, mixed-use developments, shopping centers and office buildings to parks and affordable housing projects, we have successfully represented clients in real estate both nationally and globally. Today, we are a group of over 60 professionals in four offices that have proudly played a part in the transformation of skylines and the emergence of Westchester, Fairfield and the Hudson River Valley as major economic centers. Our 50th anniversary provides us with a moment in time to reflect on our role and identity as one of the New York region’s preeminent law firms. In doing so, we must thank and honor our founding partners Bob Feder and Bill Cuddy.

Our Connection

An integral part of our culture at Cuddy & Feder is our connection to the communities and people we serve that we most celebrate and honor as part of our firm’s 50th anniversary. Our firm’s core values of excellence, service, respect, support, commitment and community in service to others extend beyond just the practice of law. It’s what makes our firm unique. To mark our anniversary, we are leaning in deeply, expanding our donations, our time and efforts, and rededicating ourselves to the community.

Partnering for a Greater Good

For about 30 years now, Cuddy & Feder has participated in several holiday toy drives each year. It is hard to believe how many children and families in our own community are struggling and in need of a helping hand. The Firm’s employees are just amazing, some even going out of their way to track down a hard-to-find item on a wish list or buying more than expected. The joy I feel in delivering a trunk full of toys to these charities is probably nothing compared to what each child feels opening a special gift when they didn’t think one would be coming this year.”
Tami Escobar, Legal Administrative Assistant

For most of our attorneys and staff, giving back has always been second nature. I look at the 5,000 Hours Challenge not as a mandate, but as an encouragement—an encouragement to our staff to do what they love and support the causes they feel passionate about. That is the heart of Cuddy & Feder.”
Christopher B. Fisher, Managing Partner
