Cuddy & Feder LLP is pleased to announce that it will be honored by Burke Rehabilitation Hospital on June 6 as a Committed Partner. The 2019 Burke Award recognizes individuals or groups who made significant contributions to the field of rehabilitation, either through personal achievements, the development of research or the establishment of programs and facilities to assist individuals with disabilities.

It recognizes strength and courage in overcoming the challenge of a disability or a significant contribution to the understanding of physical disability. It remains the highest honor bestowed by the board of trustees of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.

Serving the needs of the community has been a central part of Cuddy & Feder’s mission since it was founded over 45 years ago. A hallmark principal of the firm is that hospitals, like universities, schools, houses of worship and cultural centers, play a critical role in Westchester County and the Hudson River Valley. These institutions assure that these communities are not just beautiful places to live but are also endowed with a rich quality of life. Through the charitable and volunteer support of organizations such as Burke, Cuddy & Feder has continued to uphold this principle.

“It’s my privilege to receive this award and accept it on behalf of our firm,” said Partner Anthony Gioffre, a long-time supporter and member of Burke’s Board of Directors since 2006. “Cuddy & Feder puts a priority on community stewardship and philanthropy and has a rich history of contributing to the community through pro bono work, volunteer activity and financial support. The firm has been a leader in supporting Burke’s programs and services that patients need to regain their independence.”

The 24th Burke Award Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, N.Y. Other recipients of the 2019 Burke Award are Bonnie and Tom Grace, dedicated champions of patients and the professionals who care for them, and Dr. Mary Beth Walsh for her 37 years of service to Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, 22 of which she served as Executive Medical Director and CEO.
