On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, Christopher B. Fisher, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Telecommunications Group will participate in a panel titled “Wireless, Smart Cities and Utility Poles” at the first-ever Upstate Rural Broadband Conference presented by Southern Tier 8. The panel will address what the city of the future may look like and the role wireless infrastructure will play in smart cities. Chris served as the only wireless industry representative on the Governor’s Upstate Cellular Taskforce and was instrumental in the Taskforce’s findings on barriers and opportunities for rural wireless deployments in a report released by NYS Upstate Cellular Taskforce Report.
Earlier this year, Southern Tier 8 Regional Board announced its “Project Connect,” a major initiative to connect the agency’s entire eight-county region to high-speed broadband.
