Fishkill & White Plains, N.Y. – March 1, 2021 – Cuddy & Feder LLP is pleased to announce that Hon. Peter M. Forman has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our Fishkill, N.Y., office focusing on mediation and arbitration cases and the general practice of law. Judge Forman recently retired from the bench after 21 years of public service. He served as a judge for the Dutchess County Court in New York since 2011 and also served as an Acting Justice of the Dutchess County Supreme Court since 2001.
Judge Forman, a lifetime resident of Beacon, N.Y., is an active member of the Dutchess County community, having served as President of the Dutchess County Bar Association, the Exchange Club of Southern Dutchess, and the Parish Council of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church (Beacon). He has also been an adjunct professor teaching Family Law and Criminal Justice at Marist College and at Dutchess Community College.

Prior to his election to the County and Family Courts, Judge Forman served as a prosecutor in the Dutchess District Attorney’s office, as law clerk to County Court Judge Thomas J. Dolan and as Beacon City Attorney. He earned a B.A. in political science from LeMoyne College and received a J.D. from the University of Dayton in Ohio.
He resides in Beacon, N.Y., with his wife, Anne, an artist and retired educator. They have three daughters and three grandchildren.
