Cuddy + Feder Managing Partner Anthony B. Gioffre III and Partner Alec R. Gladd will participate in the Westchester Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Conference on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
Tony and Alec will join Jessica Bacher, Executive Director of the Land Use Law Center at Pace University, and Emma Lagle, Energy Policy Advisor and Regional Affairs Manager at the Pace Energy and Climate Center, for a panel titled The Legal Landscape.
Scheduled for 11:15–11:50 a.m., the discussion will address the legal framework surrounding battery energy storage systems, including local zoning authority, permitting requirements, state review, and considerations involved in adopting local battery storage regulations.
The half-day conference will also feature sessions on New York State energy policy, battery storage technology, public safety, and municipal perspectives.
