Cuddy & Feder Partner Neil Alexander will be a featured panelist at the 46th Annual ACLAIMH Conference, taking place October 28–31, 2025, at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Neil will join the session titled “Navigating the Housing Development Process: It’s Not for the Faint of Heart!” on October 30, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
The workshop will feature a case study of a housing project currently in development in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State. Panelists will discuss critical elements of the development process, including forming an effective development team, engaging municipal officials and community stakeholders, and managing financial considerations. The discussion will also address obstacles in securing necessary approvals and explore strategies for overcoming regulatory challenges.
The session will further highlight the need for reforming land use regulations to expand affordable housing opportunities and will examine the proposed New York State Social Housing Development Authority (SHDA) Act, which seeks to create a public benefit corporation dedicated to increasing the supply of permanently affordable housing.
Neil will be joined by Mike Newman, Director of Program Development, and Ashley Brody, CEO of Search for Change CSD Housing, LLC.
