White Plains, NY—February 07, 2024—Cuddy & Feder is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Anthony B. Gioffre III will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award at Pace University’s 29th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner at the Westchester Country Club on March 14. The Distinguished Service Award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the legal community. This award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Law School and recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence in the practice of law.

An accomplished land use attorney for more than 25 years, Tony represents national developers, retailers, religious institutions, and individuals before municipal and state land use, zoning and environmental agencies throughout the region. He assists his clients with all aspects of the land use permitting and regulatory compliance process, including compliance with New York’s State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). Tony is a long-time supporter and Board member of the Burke Neurological Institute, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and the Burke Foundation Board and is a member of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Executive Committee Board. He is a native of Westchester, a third generation of lawyers with deep roots in the local community where his father Don Gioffre served as Rye Town Supervisor, his uncle Bruno J. Gioffre served as Rye Town Justice and his grandfather Anthony B. Gioffre, who he is named after, served as a member of the New York State Senate and New York State Assembly. Tony has been consecutively highlighted on City & State’s Westchester Power 100 list and has been routinely recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyer.

Tony received his JD from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 1994. He has continued to remain involved in the University by previously serving as a Pace Law Alumni Board Officer for six years, volunteering as a guest lecturer, and played an integral role in Cuddy & Feder’s naming donation for the entryway in Ottinger Hall.

“Tony is well known in the Westchester community and beyond as not only an exceptional attorney, but as a dedicated member of the community who serves on numerous boards and task forces,” said Dean Anderson. “Since graduating from Haub Law, Tony has supported the law school in many ways, including dedicating his time to serve as a guest lecturer and in hiring our graduates. We are proud to call Tony a member of our Haub Law community and to be able to honor him this year as a Distinguished Service Award recipient.”

“Receiving Pace University’s Distinguished Service Award is a profound honor,” said Anthony B. Gioffre III. “Throughout my career, I’ve strived to make meaningful contributions not only to the legal profession but also to the communities I serve. This recognition reaffirms the importance of giving back and inspires me to continue advocating for excellence in the practice of law and beyond.”

The annual dinner brings together prominent alumni, legal academics, judges and lawyers to celebrate the recipients of the Distinguished Service Award. Tony will be honored alongside Paul Humphreys, JD ’09 and Cindy Kanusher Esq.
