Cuddy & Feder Wins Commercial Arbitration

Cuddy & Feder, led by Litigation Co-Chair Brendan Goodhouse, obtained a complete victory on behalf of its client, a national affordable housing development company, in a matter before the American Arbitration Association. The Petitioner, a party who had been involved in the early stages of the project, initiated the arbitration against our client claiming that it had breached a letter agreement that the parties entered into when the Petitioner left the limited partnership. The Petitioner asserted several claims and sought approximately $1,000,000 in damages. At the conclusion of the proceeding, which was held under AAA’s Commercial Rules, and included expedited discovery and a one-day hearing, the Arbitrator issued a decision finding that our client had not breached the parties’ agreement and was not liable to the Petitioner under any other theory it advanced.
