At this year’s National Association of Tower Erector’s conference, we were asked to pull out a crystal ball and talk about the future of the wireless industry. Bob Paige, Senior VP of M&A at Vertical Bridge and Clayton Funk, Senior Director at Media Venture Partners and I were led by Craig Lekutis of Wireless Estimator in a wide ranging conversation. Small cell and tower infrastructure deployments, carrier CAPEX spending, FirstNet and its RFP for development of a nationwide public safety network, regulatory headwinds and development of 5G and IoT technologies were all part of the discussion.
