Cuddy & Feder’s Environment & Sustainability Practice Group takes an interdisciplinary approach, complementing the work of the land use & zoning, real estate/transactional, corporate, private/public financing and environmental practices. Our LEED® AP Attorneys assist clients and professional project teams in coordinating the green building certification process with the SEQRA and land use regulatory issues surrounding Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Climate Smart communities, and Alternate Energy permitting. These services supplement and enhance the firm's work on environmental, risk assessment, disclosure and legal liability issues in the pre-transactional, due diligence, and contract negotiation phases of real estate, corporate and financing matters. This Practice Group also undertakes the litigation and settlement of such issues post-closing under Federal, State and local ordinances, rules and regulations. Sustainability and environmental considerations are also integrated into all of our other practice groups. As sustainability expands beyond the realm of real estate operation and management into the arena of corporate governance, the firm continues to assist our clients as they strive for peak efficiency with controlled risk and explore socially responsible performance goals.
